About this deal

The Talking Toilets – An army of living toilets created by George and Harold, who were accidentally brought into the real world with a modified photocopier. They could only say "Yum Yum Eat em Up!" As a third grade teacher I'm always looking for high interest high vocabulary books for my students to read. I want the book to be part of a long series in case they like it they can continue reading on their own during silent reading time. This book was not only full of high vocabulary but it was very funny. The kids loved it, especially the Flip-O-Ramas. They laughed out loud and looked forward to our daily read aloud. It was the perfect book. While sneaking in to sabotage the inventions, they run into Melvin Sneedly, the Jerome Horwitz Elementary School Brainiac. Melvin is working late on his invention, the PATSY 2000, which is a photocopier that turns two-dimensional objects into three-dimensional objects. To demonstrate, he puts in a photo of a mouse and a real mouse comes out.

The original draft's ending had George and Harold actually create the Urinator to defeat the TT 2000, however when Dav's girlfriend read the draft, she stated that he won't get away with that in a children's book, so Dav changed the Urinator to the Incredible Robo-Plunger. This reference was used when George and Harold were trying to create something to defeat the TT 2000. Something has changed about Mr. Krupp though because he drank the super-power juice, so now whenever he becomes Captain Underpants, he can fly and use other superpowers, thus making it harder for George and Harold to keep tabs on him (evident after a girl snaps her fingers in front of Mr. Krupp while she was listening to music). Instead of Harold and George looking out the window witnessing Captain Underpants running into the city, they are outside on his cape clinging on as he flies into the city instead. There are 25 words in the title, as well as 167 characters (including spaces), this means it's the longest title in the whole series.Jessica Roake, in an article published in Slate, argued that the books are well suited for young readers. She wrote that "They're drawn to them because for the first time in their reading lives they are understood, entertained, and catered to all at once. It is theirs, not ours, and that feeling of exclusive ownership forges the kind of connection everyone should have with at least one book in their life. For that, most every English teacher of my acquaintance will be more than happy to take the shot to the ego the Captain provides." [34]

The Dandelion of Doom – A dandelion that drank alien super evil rapid-growth juice, causing it to grow into a giant, evil monster. American Library Association (September 9, 2020). "Top 100 Most Banned and Challenged Books: 2010-2019". Advocacy, Legislation & Issues. Archived from the original on September 27, 2020 . Retrieved March 6, 2021. After the main series concluded with the twelfth novel, Captain Underpants and the Sensational Saga of Sir Stinks-A-Lot, in 2015, a spin-off series titled Dog Man was released the following year. [3] The spin-off series has eleven books so far.In this third book (intimidatingly titled “Captain Underpants and the Invasion of the Incredibly Naughty Cafeteria Ladies from Outer Space (and the Subsequent Assault of the Equally Evil Lunchroom Zombie Nerds)” ) finally brings Harold and George, creators of both the comic and real Captain Underpants and major prankster, into full hero roles as one of their pranks (a sciency one!) leads to them being the only students not turned into evil zombie nerds by alien invaders. So they and their principal, Mr. Krupp as his heroic alter ego, Captain Underpants, must save the world, and the school, from total destruction.
