ENEMY AT THE GATES will rank as a masterpiece if not the best novel of Kyle Mills career in the thriller genre. There is nonetheless a true-to-life air of dystopia (obeying billionaire cabals over love of country) that the characters grapple with. The setting is that of Mitch strategically carrying out his mission when the diplomat is sleeping in a Paris hotel room without any suspicion. Immediately though, the door to the room opens and gunmen take on him. In the exchange of fire, he is left wounded and has to escape. This thriller, set in Uganda, has David Chism a brilliant scientist, being hunted my terrorist and psychopath Gideon Auma. Nicholas Ward who funds Chism's research hires Scott Coleman and Mitch Rapp to rescue David against President Cooks demands.
