About this deal

Doom would never elevate the importance of his enemies by adorning himself with reminders of them... but he has shrunk adversaries before, as well as trapped them within a metallic coating. Even across the vast realm of fiction, there aren’t many characters who look like Victor Von Doom. He walks around in a hooded cloak and a tunic bound to his waist by an almost comically large leather belt. All of this is draped over his armor which, despite its medieval appearance, is as advanced as any Iron Man creation, with the surplus benefit of enchantment. His image has been faithfully realized on film exactly once: in Roger Corman’s Fantastic Four (1994). Though the details were accurate down to that little pistol he used to carry, the film’s abominable reception may have been part of Fox’s desire to overhaul the team’s image entirely. But if Christian’s efforts are any indication, some fans are still willing to give it another shot. Lastly, Add cut out a place for your nose, add the nose itself and skin it. Now you can take your glue and add “rivets” around the eyes, nose, and mouth area. (pic T) For the next step, add a mouth cover and rectangles over the eyes.you can use this time to cut out the eyes and the mouth if you haven’t. skin these pieces. (pic S) i found a piece of grated plastic.. the stuff that holds oranges or onions. i glued that in for a mouth to help with breathing while still giving a metal look. The sculpt is based on Byrne's cover for Fantastic Four #259, an image I wasted no time paying homage to once the cosplay was completed, with the help of a few of my Marvel Legends action figures.

I wanted to capture the simple circular work of Byrne's pencils which seem easy, until you go real-world with it.Though I keep Doom's armor close to the comics, sleek, unadorned by etchings, symbols or scalloped plates, I want my cosplays to tell a story, offering history or insight into the character.

For Doom, I use his cloak clasps. Instead of the gold discs, I made stylized Doom faces. You can see Four recognizable arms reaching out of the mouths on these faces. Once that is completed, add two side pieces on either side of your head. its should contour to your jaw line. (pic P). Skin this For the Dr. Doom shoes, i took option 1, grabbed some old dress shoes and spray painted them silver. The mask is the most important element of Doom. I discovered that with paper mache over a clay sculpt, followed by craft foam details and metal brads as rivets, I could properly mimic a Byrne-style 3D version of Doom's death's head visage. Now, you want to add 2 “L” shape pieces on either side of the face which connect to the chin area and underneath the cheekbone area. Skin once completed. (pic R)

This is not very important because you will be wearing the hood of the cloak. but sometimes, its better to do things the full way. This combo makes for a gorgeous, weathered look, but it's not quite appropriate for this character, whose armor is carefully, dutifully tended and polished every day.If you want to save your shoes for actual daily life use, consider covering the whole boot in masking tape, and then going with option one ( above)
