To begin, powder highlighters are best for oily skin as the fine, dry particles absorb excess moisture. Good for first timers, they can be built up gradually to get the right amount of coverage. You can create an amazing violet/taupe look using only this palette, but for the greens I needed to look elsewhere for a inner lid color.

Okay, I have a confession to make. Blush has never really been a staple in my makeup bag. There, I said it. Even so, I had to look elsewhere for a lighter color for the inner lid: I ended up choosing In the Spotlight from MUG, a super shimmery pink champagne.Apply Shade 2 to your cheekbones and the inner corners of your eyes. Its highly-pigmented, light lilac hue and baked powder texture creates a strong highlight that brightens your face without accentuating your pores. That’s right!
