The series was co-created by Teletubbies devisor Anne Wood, and Steve Roberts, Wood’s co-creator of the BAFTA-winning CBeebies series Dipdap. For the uninitiated, the Twirlywoos are “four small, bird-like characters who are inquisitive, enthusiastic and always looking to learn something new about the world. Inside the boat the table can be pushed in or popped out and the Fruit Tea Machine can be filled or emptied with the floor pedal or button on the wall.

Helping to encourage imagination through pretend play, little ones will have endless bath time fun as they move the boat around the bath. Very young children are learning how to move their bodies and music is a fantastic way to inspire movement. Children will be encouraged to explore their own environment along with the Twirlywoos, and learn new things about their world each day. Whether in the real world or on their boat, they love to hide, imitate and be surprised as they discover new things. The flip side of how interactive this toy has become is that you struggle move it, put it away, or breath near it without setting off some fantastic piece of audio - but that's well worth it for the smiles.In Monday’s episode, Getting Wet, an unsuspecting gardener is in for a soggy surprise when the Twirlywoos have some fun with a hosepipe. Helps develop fine motor skills whilst encouraging them to use their imagination through pretend play.

You can get the missing Toodloo and Chickedy and Chick characters separately but I purchased two of the Twirlywoos Character Gift Pack as then my Godson and Daughter have a spare Peekaboo character (and Great Big Hoo character) as Peekaboo can't be bought separately at the moment and if any character is going to go missing then I think it will be him! Each episode was, developed in collaboration with Professor Cathy Nutbrown, an early year’s educational expert, Head of the School of Education at the University of Sheffield. They are both the same age except for a few days and both little ones absolutely adore both the Big Red Boat and the character packs and even my son loves playing with them and he is three years old now.The boat is great, it comes with Great Big Hoo and Peekaboo and has plenty of little buttons and pully bits that makes noises. Children learn more about things by observing how certain characteristics are similar or different (e.
